Oil Chiller

Most modern machine tools are provided with Hydraulic power packs. The operating efficiency and accuracy expected from these machines are possible only when the temperature of the hydraulic oil in the power pack is kept under control. Normally 35°C to 40°C oil temperature is to be maintained for the continuous smooth operation of any machine tool. Our specially designed refrigeration type oil chiller help to the maintenance of required temperature in oil sumps. These chillers are constructed with Brazed Plate Type Heat Exchanger.

Modern CNC machines involve high spindle speeds and fast material removal rates which generate a lot of heat. This heat is directly added to the cutting fluid/coolant associated during the process. They are used to maintain precise coolant/Cutting oil temperature by rapidly rejecting the heat which added during the machining process. The chillers are used to operate with water as well as oil based coolant fluids. These types of chiller constructed with Shell & Tube Heat Exchanger. Hence, the operating temperature in the oil tank can be maintained at 25°C to 35°C.

Immersed Type Chillers are designed to be mounted on top of the liquid tank to cool the fluid that is passing through it. It has an inbuilt copper coil type evaporator which is submerged into the fluid in the tank. The temperature controller senses the temperature of the fluid in the tank and controls the refrigeration effect of the chillers thus ensuring the desired fluid temperature in the tank. Our Immersed Chiller are very popular as they save on valuable floor space and are ideal for installation on tanks where the liquid is filled with containments like chips, dirt, muck etc,. The evaporator coils can be periodically cleaned by simply lifting the chiller from the tank. Since the chiller is mounted directly on the tank there is no need for a separate chiller recirculation pump which results in energy saving.Hence, operating temperature in the oil tank can be maintained at 25°C to 30°C.

The constant loads and continuous functioning of the spindle in a CNC machine leads to a generation of a lot of heat. For proper functioning and durability of the spindle, it is very essential to remove this excess heat. Our chillers keep the spindle cool so as to control spindle and head growth. These chillers are very essential component of spindles as they add life to the spindle and they are typically used in long cycles or high duty cycles.
