Heat Exchanger

Heat Exchanger is an efficient device to heat or cool liquids by means of a heating or cooling media as the case may be. The most commonly used Heat Exchangers are the Shell and Tube type. The main feature of all the types is that the two liquids exchange heat without coming into direct contact with each other. There is no mixing of the two liquids and are separated by a metallic wall, the Heat exchange takes place by a combination of CONVECTION and CONDUCTION. There are many types of Heat Exchangers, the important types being the following.

Plate Type Heat Exchanger

A Plate Type Heat Exchanger (PTHE) offers the highest level of thermal efficiency and durability in a compact, low-cost unit. The compact BPHE is constructed as a plate package of corrugated channel plates with a filler material between each plate. During the vacuum brazing process, the filler material forms a brazed joint at every contact point between the plates, creating complex channels. The BPHE allows media at different temperatures to come into close proximity, separated only by channel plates that enable heat from one media to be transferred to the other with very high efficiency. The flexibility of our BPHEs makes them an excellent choice for many applications. The wide range of plate sizes, plate pattern combinations and connections enables a virtually unlimited number of combinations.

Air Blast Coolers

Air blast coolers, the workhorses of the industry for cooling, is an extended surface heat exchanger using ambient air to cool process fluids. We produce coolers for cooling hydraulic oil, water-based coolant. Airblast coolers are typically used as part of a closed-circuit system to remove heat from a circulating system. The excess energy from various system components heats the coolant or oil, it passes to the air blast cooler, transferring the heat to the ambient air stream. Then, the coolant is returned at temperatures typically 10oC above ambient to continue to cool system components. The closed-circuit arrangement is significantly better than an open cooling tower as it creates a cleaner cooling system less prone to fouling and corrosion, avoiding direct contact between air and water.

Shell & Tube Heat Exchanger

Shell & Tube heat exchangers are widely used for liquid to liquid and liquid to gas applications such as oil cooling, condensing, jacket water or gas cooling. They are efficient, minimum floor and headspace, easy to maintain, hence widely used in medium to large capacity refrigeration systems. We offer a premium range of shell and tube type chillers. Applications are comfort/industrial A.C. plants, process water/other fluids chilling plants. These chillers are manufactured by latest technology and can withstand high pressure and temperature.

Gasket Heat Exchanger

A GasketPlate Heat Exchanger (GPHE)is a type of heat exchanger that uses metal plates to transfer heat between two fluids. This has a major advantage over a conventional heat exchanger in that the fluids are exposed to a much larger surface area because the fluids are spread out over the plates. It consists of a series of parallel plates that are placed one above the other so as to allow the formation of a series of channels for fluids to flow between them. The space between two adjacent plates forms the channel in which the fluid flows.
